Lions pull away from HHS girls,

Clear Lake maintained its first-place standing in girls' North Central Conference basketball by posting a 47-31 victory over the Humboldt Wildcats Friday night (Jan. 13) in the Humboldt gym.

Humboldt, 6-5 overall, 5-2 in the NCC, was led in scoring by Reagan Lee with 13 points. Morgan Mann added 10. The Lions, 7-0 in the NCC, were led by Mandy Ott with 10 points. Johnson was next with nine.

Humboldt returns to action on Monday, Jan. 16, in a makeup game with Manson-Northwest Webster. The Wildcats host Iowa Falls-Alden on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Humboldt hosts Garner-Hayfield/Ventura on Jan. 19. Humboldt visits Fort Dodge St. Edmond on Jan. 20.
