Lynx topple HHS boys, 67-47

Humboldt’s varsity boys basketball team fell at Webster City, 67-47 in a conference game at Webster City on Feb. 3. Humboldt is 14-3 overall, 10-2 in conference play. Webster City is 15-1 overall, 8-1 in the NCC.

Humboldt kept pace in the North Central Conference boys' basketball race with a convincing 82-54 home court victory over Clarion-Goldfield-Dows on Feb. 2 in the Wildcat gym. Evan Hatcher scored 18 points, Will Orness scored 17 points, Josh Thurm made 16 and Corey Dettmann added 12 for the Wildcats, who improved to 14-2 overall, 10-1 in the NCC.

Humboldt made 18 3-pointers in rolling past Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, 86-63 Monday night, Jan. 30 in the Humboldt gym in non conference boys basketball.

Josh Thurm scored 18 points, Will Orness 16 and Evan Hatcher 14 to lead Humboldt. Elliot Carlson made 13, Corey Dettmann 12 and Owen Hubbell 10 for Humboldt.

The Wildcats travel to Clear Lake on Feb. 7 for another key NCC game.
