Wildcat boys upend Cadets, fall at No. 2 Clear Lake

Humboldt's varsity boys' basketball team ended their North Central Conference slate by upending Iowa Falls-Alden, 85-74 in Iowa Falls on Friday, Feb. 10.

Humboldt, 15-4 overall, 11-3 in the NCC, was led in scoring by Will Orness and Evan Hatcher each with 17 points. IFA ends league play at 9-12 overall.

No. 2 ranked Clear Lake avenged a loss to Humboldt back on Jan. 13 by upending the Wildcats, 69-52 in Clear Lake on Feb. 7.

The victory moved Clear Lake to 17-1 overall, 11-1 in the NCC.

Humboldt ends its regular season in the coming week as the Wildcats travel to Gilbert on Tuesday, Feb. 14, and host Storm Lake on Thursday, Feb. 16. Post-season tournament play begins the week of Feb. 20. Pairings will come out the week of Feb. 13.
