Caquelin signs with Briar Cliff University

Kyle Caquelin, who started at both tight end and defensive end for the Humboldt High football team last fall, will take his talents to Briar Cliff University in Sioux City in the fall after signing a national letter of intent last week.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pounder, is projected to play tight end at Briar Cliff, which competes at the NAIA level and is a member of the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
“I’m really excited about picking Briar Cliff. I’m ready to get to work and prepare for next fall. Ever since that very first visit which I made to the school, when that family aspect stood out, I’ve always compared them to every one of my other college visits,” Caquelin said.
“The coaches over there really love me and have shown a great deal of interest in me. I’ve also gotten to know a lot of the players down there and I’ve gotten to know the new players coming in. It’s been a fun adventure,” Caquelin said.
“I will like to go into a career in physical therapy so I’ll be majoring in kinesiology,” Caquelin said.
