The Humboldt Community School District received a donation of $50,000 from Northwest Bank in Humboldt to help with the cost of a new multi-purpose athletic training facility that will be used by the Humboldt Wildcat student athletes. Jim Murray, superintendent of Humboldt Community Schools, accepted the donation on behalf of the school district.
The addition will include a new weight room, turf area, practice gym, and additional space for wrestling. The project is about half done currently and the anticipated completion date is approximately September of this year.
“Northwest Bank is proud to partner with Humboldt Community Schools in this effort to invest in our students giving many of our young people access to opportunities that last a lifetime,” the financial institution said in a press release.
