Scott is winner in Livermore mayor’s race

Billie E. Scott Jr. was been declared the unofficial winner in the special election for the open seat of mayor of Livermore.
In voting Tuesday, Scott received 42 votes to 24 for Paul Brown and 10 for Justin Sorenson. There was one write-in vote.
The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors will officially canvass the election at their April 10 meeting.
Scott will serve through the end of the year. The Livermore mayor’s seat will be up for election in November for a two-year term.
