HHS girls 2nd in CGD golf invite

The Humboldt girls' golf team finished second in the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Invitational on Saturday, April 29.

Noelle Hammond shot a 92 and Aries Packard a 96 to lead the Wildcats, who totaled 430 strokes. Garner-Hayfield/Ventura won with 408. Eagle Grove totaled 440 and CGD was fourth at 480.

Hammond was runner-up medalist. Packard was third overall. Audrey Overgaard of GHV was medalist with a 91.

Humboldt fell to Iowa Falls-Alden in a conference dual at Iowa Falls on April 27, 192-203.

Packard's 44 earned meet medalist honors. Hamand was runner-up with a 45.

The North Central Conference tournament is scheduled for Monday, May 8 at Mason City. The Wildcats are at Storm Lake on May 12. The 3A regional meet is at Storm Lake on May 17.
