WILDCAT BOYS' GOLF TEAM WINS NCC DUAL TITLE!


Humboldt's varsity boys' golf team won the North Central Conference title Tuesday night, May 2, by defeating Webster City and Fort Dodge St. Edmond. Squad members, pictured fro left: Ty Gargano, Carson Arndt, Jayden Gargano, Carson Sleiter, Corey Dettmann and Parker Sleiter.

A sweep of Webster City and Fort Dodge St. Edmond Tuesday night (May 2), secured the North Central Conference dual championship for the Humboldt boys' golf team.

The Wildcats moved to 7-0 in league play by turning back the Lynx and Gaels. Humboldt finished with 173 strokes. Webster City shot 181 and St. Edmond had 191.

Parker Sleiter shot a 42 to pace Humboldt. Corey Dettmann and Jayden Gargano each shot a 43 while Carson Sleiter and Ty Gargano both shot a 45. Carson Arndt shot a 46.

Humboldt will compete in the North Central Conference meet at Spring Valley north of Livermore on Monday, May 8. The Class 3A sectional tournament will be May 9 at Spencer.
