Humboldt boys 3rd in 3A sectional golf

The Humboldt boys’ golf team kept their season alive by placing third in a Class 3A Sectional tournament at Spencer on Tuesday, May 9.
Jayden Gargano shot a 76 to lead the Wildcats. He was sixth overall. Carson Sleiter fired a 79 and Parker Sleiter shot 83. Corey Dettmann finished with an 83. Carson Arndt shot an 87 and Ty Gargano also shot an 87.
MOC-Floyd Valley won the team crown with 301. Spencer was second at 314 with Humboldt third at 321. Sioux Center was fourth at 327. All three teams advance into a district meet at Orange City on Monday, May 15, which will determine entries for the state meet in Ames May 22-23.
