Wildcat girls blank Cadets, 10-0

The Humboldt softball team pushed their season record to 18-10 overall by stopping Iowa Falls-Alden, 10-0 in five innings Friday night, June 30 in Humboldt.

Humboldt totaled 13 hits with Claire Dieleman leading the way with three singles. Paige Opheim hit two doubles and Addie Thompson and Abby Armitage each had two singles. Reagan Lee earned the win pitching as the Wildcats finish second in the North Central Conference at 11-3.

Humboldt wraps up its regular season at Greene County in Jefferson on Monday night, July 3.

The Wildcats host Algona on July 6 in a first round regional tournament game. IGHSAU postseason admission is $6 for kindergarten through adult, plus the processing fee. No cash will be accepted at the gate. Tickets must be purchased online through Bound at the link below:
