Rare stunt plane on display at Sunday's Rotary Breakfast

The 22nd Annual Rotary club fly-in, drive-in breakfast will be held Sunday, August 6 at the Humboldt Municipal Airport.
A special feature will be Aaron McCartan, a Pocahontas native, who lives in Algona and who has won three United States National Aerobatic Championships and represented America as part of the National Aerobatic Team at two World Championship events.
He earned an individual Gold Medal in 2018, with his aerobatic skills.
Aaron will be displaying his newest aerobatic ‘stunt’ plane during the Humboldt flight breakfast. For the 2023 season and beyond, Aaron has a rather rare aircraft to show, an XtremeAir XA41, one of only two in the United States.
Made in Germany, this is one of the highest performance single-engine aircraft ever created and people can see it this Sunday, Aug. 6, at the flight breakfast.
Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to noon and tickets will be available at the event. There will also be airplane rides, a performance by The Bone Rangers trombone quartet and a ball drop for cash prizes with proceeds going to fund Rotary scholarships.
