In many ways Ashlyn Clark has come full circle with a lot to bring to the table as she begins her first season as head volleyball coach of the Humboldt Wildcats.
Clark, a 2020 Humboldt High School graduate, brings a high level of optimism and a sense of maturity that belies her age.
Clark, a former Wildcat athlete herself, has overcome a battle with cancer and also has two years of coaching the freshman squad. She’s ready for the task at hand as the Wildcats prepare to begin their season on Aug. 22 at home against Gilbert.
“It’s a really big responsibility and going into it I knew it was going to be a lot, but having the help of my two assistant coaches, Kristi Clark and Cassie Harklau, have been able to lessen the stress. If I need something, they help me out 100 percent,” Clark said.
