Additional location to pick up Reminders

Due to alley construction for sewer replacement behind the Humboldt Independent, for the next three days (Tuesday-Thursday) the Independent front office vestibule will be open after 5 p.m. to allow people to conveniently pick up the Humboldt Reminder in either the front or rear locations of the building, this week only.
Due to sewer line replacement in the west half of the alley between 5th and 6th Street South, the Humboldt Reminders will be available in both the rear blue newspaper vending box and in the front vestibule rack after regular paper business hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There is access to the blue box but because of the partial alley shutdown patrons will need to turn around instead of driving through.
As a convenience, the Humboldt Independent office will leave the front vestibule open after 5 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday so people may pick up their Reminder at the front door, 512 Sumner Ave.
According to Humboldt City Administrator Cole Bockelmann, the sewer work is expected to take the remainder of this week at the earliest. The city parking lot behind Bank Iowa will remain open during construction. The contractor is Wunsch Construction of Greene.
