HHS girls 2nd, boys 7th in EG's Bell Invitational
Humboldt finished second in the girls scoring while the boys placed seventh Tuesday evening (Oct. 3) in the Dick Bell Invitational cross country meet at Eagle Grove.
Brynn Malo ran fourth in 21:44 and Bella Metli was 14th in 23:14 to pace the Humboldt boys. Meg Zweibohmer was 19th in 23:53.
Justin Ash was 21st in 19:44 to pace the Wildcat boys. Jaden Himrod ran 27th in 20:08.
MALO, THUMMA PACE HUMBOLDT AT ALGONA
Humboldt High sophomores Brynn Malo and Gabe Thumma led their respective Wildcat teams in the Algona Invitational cross country meet held on Monday, Sept. 25.
Malo ran ninth in 20:29.61 in the girls’ race while Thumma was 37th in 18:32.36 for the boys. Humboldt’s girls placed sixth in the team scoring while the boys were 13th.
Alana Malo was 37th in 22:48.62 and Meg Zweibohmer was 40th in 22:50.40. Bella Metli was 41st in 22:57.06.
Jaden Himrod was 62nd in 19:29.14. Justin Ash was 67th in 20:04.70. Hayden Hansen ran 76th in 20:28.92.
Next action for Humboldt will be the conference meet at Fort Dodge on Oct. 10.
