While state funding is not currently in the offing, a Badger businessman has reiterated his intent on turning the former Humboldt North Care Center into apartment units.
That was the word from Monday night’s Humboldt City Council meeting.
On Monday, the Council confirmed its willingness to provide tax-increment financing (TIF) rebates for a 10-year period as a form of tax incentives. The Council did this by authorizing Mayor Dan Scholl to sign a letter of intent with Paul Butterfield of Badger.
Butterfield has started a limited liability corporation, Humboldt North Apartments, LLC.
