Lighted parade and holiday meal Nov. 25
Miller’s Landing is presenting a Hometown Christmas Parade of Lights on Saturday, Nov. 25, in downtown Humboldt and Dakota City.
The parade will start at 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and 5th Street South in Dakota City. The parade will continue on Main Street going west down the hill where the street turns into Sumner Avenue. The parade will continue west and will conclude at the intersection of 8th Street North (with entries asked to turn north on 8th Street).
After the parade, Miller’s Landing is inviting the public to come to the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church fellowship hall, 1212 Sumner Ave. SW, for free chili, cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate, while supplies last. Children will get an opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.
“We are excited to have the lighted parade this year and welcome any businesses, organizations, churches or individuals to submit a lighted entry,” said Deb Loss of Humboldt, one of the organizers of the event.
