Humboldt girls roll past Bulldogs, 56-38

Humboldt's pressure defense and the offensive performance of Kaitlyn Nelson and Morgan Mann was too much for visiting Hampton-Dumont-CAL Friday night (Dec. 15) in the Humboldt gym as the Wildcats rolled to a 56-38 victory.

Nelson scored 18 points by hitting six 3-point baskets on the night. Mann scored 15 points. Ava Fischer made eight, Meg Zweibohmer had six, Paige Nelson made six and Ava Newton added three for the Wildcats, who improved to 6-2 overall, 3-1 in the North Central Conference. Jordan Valley led the Bulldogs with 16 points. Lily Hambly added 10 in a game where Humboldt led 34-19 at halftime.

Wildcat girls topple Fort Dodge, 44-39
Ava Fischer scored 15 points and Morgan Mann added 12 to lead the Humboldt girls' basketball team past Fort Dodge, 44-39 on Dec. 14 in Fort Dodge. The Wildcats improved to 5-2 on the season with the win. Fort Dodge fell to 3-3.

Algona rallies past Humboldt girls, 64-54
Algona used a 15-0 run in the second half to rally past Humboldt, 64-54 Tuesday night in Algona. Morgan Mann scored 26 points to lead the Wildcats, 4-2 overall, 2-1 in conference play. Lauren McLaughlin scored 27 for the Bulldogs, who moved to 4-2 overall, 3-0 in the NCC.

Humboldt will host Clarion-Goldfield-Dows on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

The Wildcats wrap up their pre-Christmas schedule on Dec. 21 when they visit Garner-Hayfield/Ventura.
