HHS girls compete on the mat at Osage

Humboldt placed 8th in the team scoring of the Osage girls' wrestling tournament on Jan. 2.

Rylee Coyle placed runner-up at 235 pounds to pace the Wildcats. Danica Diedrick (4th) and Sophia Harris (4th) were both fourth. Ella Olson at 145 and Claire Weydert at 130 were sixth. Laina Dettmann was eighth at 120.

Humboldt went 1-2 in the Osage Duals back on Dec. 21. Humboldt beat West Fork of Osage, 48-30, and lost to Osage (69-9) and Cedar Falls (66-18). The Wildcats moved to 8-7 overall on the season in duals.

The Wildcats will compete in the conference tournament at Clear Lake on Friday, Jan. 19, 6 p.m. Humboldt will be in the Mason City tournament on Saturday, Jan. 20, starting at 9 a.m.
