Rec Center offers classes for the new year

The Humboldt Recreation Center has offerings for all ages and skill levels to get people in shape for 2024.
Activities starting this month will be Multisport Mashup Madness, Thursdays, Jan. 25-Feb. 15 for children in grades three through six. Cost is $10 per child per session.
Mini-Cats winter sports clinics for boys and girls in pre-K and kindergarten will be offered on Saturdays, Jan. 20-Feb. 10. A parent or guardian must participate with the child. the cost is $15.
A mini-Cats track clinic will be at the Rec Center Saturdays, March 2 and March 9 (note, the date in this week's Independent is in error as the Feb. 24 date was changed after deadline, March 2 and March 9 art the correct dates.) The cost is $20 and children in grades three through six should register by Feb. 8.
There will be competitive Pickleball leagues for men and women and a beginner's doubles league for novices to the sport. There will also be a competitive men's basketball league starting Jan. 21. Registration is $125 per team with a registration deadline of Jan. 15.
