Humboldt at Ballard in 2A regional dual

Regional dual team pairings were announced on Jan. 23 and the Humboldt boys' wrestling team will travel to Ballard-Huxley for a Class 2A regional on Tuesday, Jan. 30. The No. 9 ranked Wildcats will face No. 24 ranked Williamsburg in the first round with the winner facing No. 8 ranked Ballard in the finals. The winner advances to the state dual team tournament in Coralville on Saturday, Feb. 3.

Humboldt hosted a quad on Jan. 25 and dominated three non-conference foes. The Wildcats beat Gilbert (73-0), West Marshall (51-27) and Perry (68-9) to improve to 13-1 on the season in duals.

Humboldt will also compete in a tournament at South Central Calhoun on Saturday, Jan. 27, to wrap up their regular season.

The Wildcats will be in a 2A district tournament at Story City on Saturday, Feb. 10, to determine entries for the individual state tournament in Des Moines Feb. 14-17.
