Humboldt’s medley relay opened its season with an impressive performance at the boys’ Iowa State University Indoor track meet on March 7.
The Wildcats’ relay unit of Keegan Groat, Elliot Carlson, Jackson Dodd and Mason Van Pelt clocked 3:39.98 to win the event and set a meet record in Class 3A.
“We ran really well for this early in the year. We have been to this meet off and on over the years. In talking to the kids this year, they wanted to challenge themselves,” Wickett said.
Humboldt will host its indoor meet on Friday, March 15, inside the Humboldt Recreation Center at the Nielsen Family Fieldhouse. Action begins at 4:30 p.m.
