Opera Iowa helps elementary students learn

The Des Moines Metro Opera’s traveling arts education troupe OPERA Iowa visited Humboldt Community Schools on April 18 performing their opera “Sid the Serpent Who Wanted to Sing” for Taft and Mease Elementary students at the high school auditorium. The event was organized by Mrs. Boswell and Mrs. Boyd who have been teaching students aspects of the musical genres. The 45-minute performance was followed by a question-and-answer session where the students got to ask the cast questions about Opera.
