Humboldt baseball team sidelined at Boone, 9-0

Boone jumped on Humboldt early on and went on to down the Wildcat baseball team, 9-0 in a Class 3A substate tournament game at Boone on Friday night, July 12. The Toreadors hit three homers and rode a strong pitching performance by Archie Bell.

Isaiah Busick took the loss pitching for Humboldt, which ends the year at 17-9 overall. Boone, 20-14, advances to play at Algona on Monday, July 15.

Humboldt closed out their regular season with an 11-1 victory over Greene County of Jefferson in non-conference action at Jefferson on Tuesday night, July 9.

Cyler Cirks earned the victory on the mound for Humboldt, which moved to 17-8 overall.
