Humboldt girls 2nd at EG, fall to Algona in NCC dual

The Humboldt girls' wrestling team placed second at the Eagle Grove Invitational on Dec. 10. Danica Diedrick was an individual champion for the Wildcats at 170 pounds while Brooklyn Robinson at 235, Gracie Lyon at 135 and Letty Jenson at 100 placed runner-up.

The Wildcats opened North Central Conference dual action at home on Thursday, Dec. 12, and fell to the Algona Bulldogs, 58-24.

Humboldt's victories came from Laina Dettmann at 130 (42-second pin), Danica Diedrick at 170 (50-second pin), Kennedy Robinson at 190 (forfeit) and Brooklyn Robinson at 235 (forfeit).

Humboldt will host the Michelle Jensen Invitational on Monday, Dec. 16.
