Dresser’s ISU squad tops NDSU, 27-12

NOW 4-0 coaching in Humboldt gym

Humboldt native Kevin Dresser brought his Iowa State University wrestling team back to the Humboldt gym for the fourth straight year and treated the hometown crowd with another Cyclone victory.
This time the No. 13 Cyclones opened Big 12 Conference action with a 27-12 victory over North Dakota State University on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 15. Iowa State, with most of its regulars out of the lineup due to injury, improved to 2-2 overall, 1-0 in conference. NDSU fell to 0-4 and 0-1.
Cody Chittum and Daniel Herrera each secured pins to power the Cyclones. Jacob Front won by technical fall and Aiden Riggins won by major decision. Osmany Diversent, Carter Fousek and Manny Rojas all made their Cyclone dual debuts.
Iowa State improved to 4-0 all time inside the Humboldt High School gym, Dresser’s home gym where he won two state titles before graduating in 1981. See full story in the Humboldt Independent.
