KEEGAN GROAT

Humboldt High senior Keegan Groat, one of the top receivers in the state in Class 3A last year, has been selected to play for the North squad in the annual Iowa Shrine Bowl All-Star football game this summer.

The annual classic will be played on Saturday, July 19, inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls at 4 p.m.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Groat, was selected first-team all-state at wide receiver by the Iowa Football Coaches Association in Class 3A. He helped Humboldt win the district title as the Wildcats went on to play in the state championship, where they lost to Dubuque Wahlert in the championship game.

On offense, Groat caught 35 passes for 791 yards and 10 touchdowns. He averaged 22.6 yards per catch. A linebacker on defense, Groat totaled 72 tackles with 54 solo stops, one interception, three tackles for loss and one sack.
