DALE E. CARMAN

Dale Carman, 87 of Fort Dodge formerly Humboldt, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. A memorial visitation for Dale will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Lentz Funeral Home in Humboldt. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at Union Cemetery in Humboldt. Services have been entrusted to Lentz Funeral Home of Humboldt. Online condolences may be left at www.lentzfuneralhome.com
Dale Emanuel Carman, the son of Virgil Sr. and Cecelia (Hronek) Carman, was born on May 19, 1937, in rural Pocahontas County. He attended elementary school in Pioneer and graduated from Gilmore City High School with the class of 1956. After graduation, Dale enlisted with the United States Army on Aug. 15, 1956 and was honorably discharged on Aug. 14, 1959. While in the service, he served with the 11th Airborne Division as a Paratrooper. On April 7, 1962, Dale was united in marriage with Donna Grebner in Humboldt. The couple farmed near Pioneer before moving to Humboldt.
Dale enjoyed spending time with his four granddaughters and fishing with his family and friends. He was an avid gardener who harvested large amounts of vegetables every year.
Left to cherish Dale’s memory his daughters: Diane (Pat) Burke of Moberly, MO and Barb (Doug) Benjamin of Spirit Lake; granddaughters: Riley and Molly Burke of Columbia, MO and Brianne Benjamin of Spencer and Kayla Benjamin of Orleans; sister: Dorothy Christensen of Grand Meadow, MN; brother: Eugene (Judy) Carman of Cresco; sister-in-law: Mary Ann Carman of Humboldt and brother-in-law: Larry Grebner of Fort Dodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Virgil Sr. And Cecelia Carman; wife: Donna Carman and son: David Carman.
