Wildcats fall to Lynx, Lions

Humboldt's varsity boys' soccer team saw their season record slip to 2-2-1 overall after falling 9-2 at Webster City on Monday night, April 21. The loss came four nights after the Wildcats lost 2-1 at Clear Lake on April 17.

HHS boys, HDC battle to scoreless tie
Humboldt remains unbeaten in varsity boys' soccer after the Wildcats battled Hampton-Dumont-CAL to a 0-0 tie on Monday night, April 14 in Humboldt. The Wildcats are now 2-0-1 overall and in the North Central Conference.

Humboldt boys in 4-1 victory
Humboldt's varsity boys' soccer team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 4-1 victory over Wright County on April 10 at Belmond. Wright County is the combined program of Belmond-Klemme, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows and Eagle Grove. Carter Westre scored three goals and Caleb Vinsand also scored.

HHS boys in 5-1 victory over Cadets
HUMBOLDT – Carter Westre scored two goals in the second half to lead the Humboldt boys' soccer team to a season-opening 5-1 victory over the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets on Monday night (April 7) in Humboldt.

It was also a North Central Conference opener for Humboldt. Humboldt led 2-1 at halftime on goals by Jonny Hayden and Nico Christensen. Obed Antonio added a second half goal to join Westre as the Wildcats held the visiting Cadets in check.

The Wildcats play host to GHV on April 24. Humboldt hosts Fort Dodge on Monday, April 28.
