HHS boys 4th in power-laden Spencer Invite

Humboldt finished fourth in the power-laden Spencer Invitational golf meet on Monday, April 21.
The Wildcats finished with 321 strokes. Clear Lake won with 303 while Spencer was second at 312 and Carroll Kuemper third with 313. Cade Birdsell was 10th individually with a 77 to pace the Humboldt boys. Dawson Sleiter was 12th with 78 and Parker Sleiter fired an 82. Cyler Cirks had an 84, Carson Oleson 85 and Mack Harklau 88.
Birdsell's 36 leads HHS boys in golf victory
Cade Birdsell shot an even par 36 and Dawson Sleiter fired a 38 to lead the Humboldt boys' golf team to a non-conference triangular victory in Humboldt on April 11. The Wildcats totaled 159 strokes, Pocahontas Area had 181 and Manson-NW shot 232. Parker Sleiter added a 42 for the Wildcats with teammate Cyler Cirks next at 43. Andrew Nedved had a 45 and Cooper Theesfeld 47.
HHS boys 2nd in opening triangular
HUMBOLDT – Humboldt's varsity boys' golf team finished second in a non-conference season opener on April 8 at Humboldt Country Club.
The Wildcats carded a 158 total. Spencer won with 151 while Algona Garrigan was third at 195.
Parker Sleiter and Dawson Sleiter each shot a 39 to lead Humboldt while Cade Birdsell and Cyler Cirks both shot a 40. Andrew Nedved had 43 and Cooper Theesfeld 46.
Humboldt will host Iowa Falls-Alden and Fort Dodge St. Edmond on April 25.
