Humboldt wins 3A boys golf sectional title!

The Humboldt boys' golf team opened post-season tournament play by winning the Class 3A Sectional Tournament at Spirit Lake on May 14.
Humboldt shot a 317 total. Webster City was runner-up with 324 and host Okoboji was third at 328. They will advance to a district in Orange City at Landsmeer Golf Course on Monday, May 19. The top two teams from the district advance to the state meet.
Cade Birdsell shot a 74 to pace the Wildcats. Dawson Sleiter had 75, Parker Sleiter 87 and Cyler Cirks 87. Mack Harklau (90) and Carson Oleson (81) had the non-counting scores.
