No. 2 Heelan sidelines HHS girls in regional final

No. 2 ranked Bishop Heelan of Sioux City scored four first half goals and went on to sideline Humboldt, 7-0 in a girls' Class 1A Regional final in Sioux City on Friday night, May 30. The loss ended Humboldt's post-season run as the Wildcats end their season with an overall record of 9-6-3. Helen advanced into the state tournament with a 17-2 record.

Brogan Lennon-Meyer and Sadie Hubbell both scored in the third overtime to lift the Humboldt girls soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Sioux Center on Wednesday night, May 28, in a Class 1A region 2 semifinal at Sioux Center against 13-2 Sioux Center. They move on to face Bishop Heelan Catholic, which defeated MOV-FV 10-0 in a semifinal in Sioux City.
