Wildcat girls claim team crown at Clear Lake

Led by Avery Fisher's first-place finish, the Humboldt girls' cross country team won the team title at the Clear Lake Invitational on Sept. 18.
Fisher won with a time of 19:42. Teammate and twin sister Aubry Fisher was third in 20:01 and Brynn Malo fourth in 20:09. Macey Rodgers clocked 22:50 for 19th place. and Elsie Statesman was 34th in 24:37.
Humboldt scored 58 team points. Clear Lake was runner-up with 72.
The Wildcat boys took ninth as a team. Ames won the meet with 52 points. Lake Mills was second with 60.
Humboldt sophomore Henry Kramer finished 21st in 18:31. Senior Graham Bakken was 56th in 20:47. Ike Fowler was 66th in 21:28 and Carson Chambers clocked 21:36 for 67th. Joel Thurm was 71st (21:44), Obed Antonio 72nd (21:44) and Miles Zeman 73rd (21:48).
