Top ranked Clear Lake proved to be too much for the Humboldt boys' basketball team as they rolled to a 76-37 victory over the Wildcats in a North Central Conference game in the Humboldt gym on Friday night, Dec. 19.
Chase Flaherty and Carson Rubel each scored six points to lead the Wildcats. Jackson Flaherty, Levi Rieck and Chase Hansen each had five for Humboldt, which enters the Christmas break at 3-2 overall, 2-1 in North Central Conference play.
Clear Lake, 4-0 and 2-0, was paced by Jaxson McIntire with 24 points. Trevor Theobald followed with 17 for the Lions, who led 44-20 at halftime.
Humboldt will be off for the Christmas break and return to action on Saturday, Jan. 3, at Mason City.
