PAULINE A. SIEFKEN

Pauline A. Siefken, age 81, of Gilmore City, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital in Humboldt.
Funeral Service was held on Saturday, Jan. 31, at First Lutheran Church in Gilmore City. Burial was held in Marble Valley Cemetery near Gilmore City. Powers Funeral Home of Pocahontas, handled the arrangements.
Pauline Anne Kroske was born on April 20, 1944, in rural Knoke. She was the daughter of Merlyn and Stella (Meyer) Kroske. Pauline was raised in the Jolley, Knoke and Pomeroy area and graduated from the Pomeroy Community High School in 1962. On Feb. 24, 1963, Pauline was united in marriage to Eugene Siefken at St. John Lutheran Church in Pomeroy. The couple settled on a farm near Gilmore City where they raised their family. Pauline was a mother, homemaker and grandmother. After raising their family, Pauline began working at Oaks Nursery in Gilmore City which she did for many years before purchasing the business and operating it for 13 years. She retired in the early 2000s. Eugene passed away in 2003 and Pauline continued to make her home on the farm near Gilmore City.
Pauline was a member of First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and was especially proud of her granddaughter, Emily.
Survivors include her children, Kelvin Siefken of Rutland, Jody (Ron) Collins of Humboldt, Tammy Meyer of Humboldt and Mitch (Erin) Siefken of Pocahontas, and her granddaughter, Emily.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; parents, Merlyn and Stella Kroske; parents-in-law, Diedrich and Tracy Siefken and in-laws, Don and Marion Anderson, Kenneth Siefken, Merlin Hartley, Jim Ernst and Jerry and Carole Welty.
