Humboldt boys win indoor track title

Humboldt won four events and claimed the team title of their own indoor track meet inside the Nielsen Family Fieldhouse at the Humboldt Recreation Center on Friday, March 20.

The Wildcats totaled 128.5 points to outdistance runner-up Southeast Valley at 112.5. Forest City was third at 72.5, followed by Manson-NW with 61.5, Eagle Grove with 39, Algona with 38, Clear Lake 17, Algona Garrigan 14 and Pocahontas Area with 12.

Humboldt won the 4x200 relay in 1:36.48. The relay consisted of Cash Mcintire, Jackson Flaherty, Chase Flaherty and Valley Davis.

Carter Reed won the high jump with a leap of 5-8 and Chase Flaherty took the 400-meter dash in 55.05 seconds. Jackson Flaherty won the 200-meters in 24.42 seconds.

The 60-meter shuttle hurdle relay took second in 37.03 seconds. It was made up of Luke DeWinter, Dane Clark, Brady Roth and Valley Davis. Cash McIntire was also second in the 60-meter dash in 7.6 seconds.
