HHS boys win 3 events at Algona

The Humboldt boys' track team won three events at Algona's Brad Heitland Indoor Invitational meet held on March 31 inside their new training center at the high school.
No team scoring was kept in the event.
Humboldt's Cash McIntire won the long jump with an effort measuring 21-1.25. The 4x60-meter relay took first in 28.70 seconds. Chase Flaherty, Jackson Flaherty, Valley Davis and McIntire comprised the relay.
Humboldt's shuttle hurdle relay also took first in 34.96 seconds. The relay consisted of Griffin Groat, Brayden Roth, Luke DeWinter and Davis.
Senior Jack Guy was second in the shot with a throw measuring 51-7.5.
Third-place went to Roth in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.02 seconds, DeWinter in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.5 seconds, the 4x200 relay and the 4x400 relay.
The 4x200 relay finished in 1:35.95 and consisted of Cash McIntire, Chase Flaherty, Jackson Flaherty and Valley Davis. The 4x400 finished in 3:46.75 and consisted of Jackson Flaherty, Noah Elman, Chase Flaherty and Davis.
Humboldt returns to action on Tuesday, April 7, when they compete in the Umstead Relays at Eagle Grove.
