Humboldt/Dakota City
American Legion Adams Post 119 of Humboldt and VFW Post 5240 of Dakota City will hold a Memorial Day ceremony at Bicknell Park in Humboldt on Monday, May 25, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

A short program, which includes the reading of the 28 names of veterans who died in 2025, will be followed by a rifle salute at the park.

Following the service at Bicknell, the honor guard will travel to the following cemeteries to honor the veterans buried there at the approximate time:
- 10:05 a.m. – Union Cemetery
- 10:25 a.m. – Corinth Cemetery
- 10:45 a.m. – Indian Mound Cemetery
- 11:00 a.m. – St. Mary’s Cemetery

Livermore:
The Livermore American Legion Otto Field Post No. 415 Annual Memorial Day program will be held Monday, May 25, at 11:00 a.m. on Main Street of Livermore, south of the Humboldt County Freedom Rock and Veterans Memorial Park.

The American Legion Post 415 will conduct the program, followed by a Rifle Squad Salute and the sounding of Taps. The traditional Memorial Day service includes an array of American flags on display.

A potluck dinner immediately following the ceremony will be held in the Livermore Legion Hall.

Lu Verne:
Lu Verne will hold its annual Memorial Day car show on Monday, May 25 from 12:00 -3:00 p.m. on Main Street (DeWitt Street) The Memorial Day service will be at 1:00 p.m. at the car show.

Music will be provided by Mojo Productions with Carter Nath providing music during the Memorial service.

It is suggested that you bring your own chair and there will be a free will donation.

Renwick:
Renwick will have their annual Memorial Day program at Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m.

The guest speaker will be former US Sergeant Mike Hulsey, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan before being wounded in Iraq. All are welcome.

Bode:
Bode’s Memorial Day celebration will take place in the Community Center at 105 Humboldt Avenue beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The program will be followed by light refreshments of coffee and donuts.

Gilmore City:
Gilmore City will have their Memorial Day celebration presented by the American Legion in the Gilmore City School gym. The program will begin at 10:00 a.m.
