PAUL A. BURMEISTER

Paul A. Burmeister, 65, of Livermore, died Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Fort Dodge Health & Rehab. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1–5 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds. Memorials may be directed to the family. Paul was born Nov. 15, 1960, in Sac City, the son of Harley and Velma V. (Varvel) Burmeister. He attended school in Le Mars. On Dec. 14, 2017, he was united in marriage to Kimberly A. (Hanlon) in Livermore. He worked in construction for many years before his retirement in 2025. Paul found pleasure in activities such as fishing, a pastime that offered him both relaxation and a connection to nature. He also took pride in meticulously cleaning cars, reflecting his appreciation for detail and care. Additionally, Paul had a passion for collecting Hot Wheels. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his children.
Paul is survived by his wife: Kim Burmeister of Livermore; three children: Tyler Hanlon of Lu Verne, Dakota Burmeister of Humboldt, and Bethany Hanlon of Livermore; three grandchildren: Josie, Jace and Jaxson; four siblings: Linn Snyder and husband Jerry of Le Mars, Mark Burmeister of Humboldt, Gerald Burmeister and wife Jessica of Eagle Grove, and Mary Herrick and husband J.R. of Custer, SD; and cousin: Brad Brunner and wife Krystina of Livermore. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Al Burmeister; and uncle: Everett Burmeister.
