City of Livermore public notice
The city of Livermore will be changing out about 200 electrical meters in town this Tuesday-Thursday, Jan. 23-25. The change out will result in a brief power outage for the residence in question.
The city of Livermore will be performing electrical meter changes Tuesday, Jan. 23 through Thursday, Jan. 25. Users should note that during the meter change where will be a temporary loss of power. The city electrical superintendent and a representative of Van Wert Inc., the distributor of auto read electrical meters will be going door-to-door to notify customers of the change. If no one is home, they will still change out the meters, with the exception of digital dual read solar electrical meters, or three-phase electrical meters. A total of about 200 meters will be changed out in the community. The new meters will provide efficiencies in collecting electrical usage data and interface with utility software programs.
