Wildcat girls edge Bulldogs, 3-2

Kendal Clark drove in the winning run with a single in the seventh inning to lift the Humboldt softball team past Hampton-Dumont, 3-2 Monday night (June 4) in Humboldt. Clark went 3-for-4 at bat to lead Humboldt, which improved to 9-0 overall, 4-0 in the NCC. Ellie Jacobson pitched a five-hitter.
The third ranked Humboldt softball team climbed to 8-0 on the season by sweeping Eagle Grove (21-9) and Mason City (4-3) in the Humboldt triangular on June 2. Kyah Arnold earned the win pitching against EG. She aided her cause by hitting a home run with five RBI. Humboldt had 16 hits overall.
The Wildcats edged Mason City 4-3 as Ellie Jacobson pitched a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts. Humboldt made five hits in the game.
