Humboldt volleyball team blanks Algona in 3 sets

Humboldt's No. 13 ranked volleyball team improved to 9-1 overall on the season, 2-0 in North Central Conference play, after sweeping the Algona Bulldogs in three sets on Thursday, Sept. 6 at Algona. Humboldt won by scores of 25-18, 25-21 and 25-16. Kendal Clark and Jori Hajek each nine kills for the Wildcats. Deni McDaniel had 18 assists.

Wildcat blanks Storm Lake, Manson-Northwest Webster
Humboldt picked up two non-conference victories at home on Sept. 4. The Wildcats swept Storm Lake 21-12, 21-6 and posted a 21-9, 21-10 victory over MNW. Jori Hajek made eight kills in the win over Storm Lake. Deni McDaniel had 10 assists. Hajek made 11 kills in the victory over MNW and Carlie Thompson added 12 digs. Deni McDaniel made three ace serves.

Humboldt will travel to Spencer on Saturday, Sept. 8, for the Tiger Invitational tournament.
