Cowgirls rally past Humboldt, 37-34

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows over came a 17-5 first quarter deficit to Humboldt and rallied in the second half for a 37-34 North Central Conference victory over the Wildcats on Friday night (Jan. 25) at Clarion. Mady Lange powered in 12 points to lead the Wildcats. Kendal Clark made 11 and Jori Hajek had 10. Raven Kinnetz led the Cowgirls with 11. Courtney Harle and Megan Askelsen each had 10 to back Kinnetz. The Wildcats are 3-13 overall 0-10 in the NCC. The Cowgirls moved to 9-9 overall, 5-6 in the NCC.

Humboldt's home game with Hampton-Dumont-CAL on Jan. 22 has been moved to Monday, Jan. 28. The Wildcats also host Fort Dodge St. Edmond on Jan. 29. The Wildcats visit Webster City on Feb. 5 and play at Belmond on Feb. 7 in their final regular season game.

Humboldt will play at Roland-Story on Saturday, Feb. 9, in a first round Class 3A Regional tournament game with the Norse.
