St. Edmond over Humboldt girls, 6-3

The Humboldt softball team saw their conference title hopes come up short in a 6-3 loss at Fort Dodge St. Edmond on Wednesday night, June 28 in Fort Dodge. Humboldt slips to 16-10 overall, 10-3 in conference play. St. Edmond wins the title at 12-2. Reagan Lee pitched all six innings for Humboldt and scattered six hits. Offensively she led by going 3-for-3 at bat with a double and an RBI.
Humboldt moved to 16-9 overall on the season by beating Pocahontas Area, 11-2 in non-conference action at Pocahontas Tuesday night, June 27. Reagan Lee and Abby Armitage shared the pitching duties with Lee throwing a one-hitter and Armitage a 3-hitter. Jayden Kutschara had three hits to lead Humboldt at the plate. Claire Dieleman, Paige Opheim and Addie Thompson each had two hits to lead Humboldt. Armitage drove in four runs.
Humboldt 3, CGD 1
Humboldt kept pace in the conference softball race by stopping Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, 3-1 Monday night (June 26) in Clarion, improving Humboldt's record to 15-9 overall, 10-2 in the NCC.
Reagan Lee pitched a no-hitter to lead the Wildcats. Claire Dieleman and Addie Thompson each had two hits to lead the Wildcat attack. Elsie Hubbell and Mia Schluter also had a hit.
WILDCATS DOWN WEBSTER CITY, 4-3
Humboldt's youthful softball team is playing like a mature, veteran ball club.
The Wildcats kept their North Central Conference championship hopes alive by edging the Webster City Lynx, 4-3 in Humboldt on Friday night, June 23.
Reagan Lee pitched another strong, complete game for Humboldt and also homered at the plate as the Wildcats improve to 14-9 overall, 9-2 in the NCC. The win avenged a 4-2 loss at Webster City back on June 5.
The Wildcats visit Class 1A power Newell-Fonda in non-conference action on Thursday, June 29.
Humboldt wraps up North Central Conference play at home with Iowa Falls-Alden on Friday, June 30.
Humboldt will open Class 3A regional tournament play at home on Thursday, July 6, when they host Algona in a 7 p.m. game. The winner plays at Saydel on July 8 against Saydel or Harlan.
