Wildcat baseball team wins outright NCC championship!

The Humboldt High baseball team claimed the North Central Conference championship in outright fashion Monday night (June 26) by shutting out the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys, 11-0 in Clarion to move to 12-0 overall in the NCC.

Jayden Gargano pitched a no-hitter while Corey Dettmann tripled and singled and Christian Lee drove in three runs to lead Humboldt.

Humboldt moved to 13-0 in the NCC with an 11-3 victory over Fort Dodge St. Edmond on June 28 in Fort Dodge. Humboldt is 22-3 overall.

The Wildcats buried the Boone Toreadors, 15-0 Tuesday night, June 27 at Boone. Isaiah Busick homered for the Wildcats, who move to 21-3 overall on the season.

The Wildcats host Iowa Falls-Alden on Thursday, June 29.

Humboldt hosts Storm Lake on Monday, July 3.

Humboldt will host Gilbert on Friday, July 7, in a first round Class 3A substate opening round game.
