Back in School: 2023-24 year begins

Staffing and construction updates by Humboldt School Superintendent Jim Murray topped the agenda Monday night (Aug. 21) at the monthly school board meeting.
The meeting was held at the new central administration office, formerly Farm Bureau and BOLDT Nutrition.
With school slated to begin this week and the first football game of the season set for Friday, Aug. 25, Murray says the newly expanded restrooms at the sports complex are ready.
“We have many construction projects going on in the district, which is great. We are making baby steps on everything,” Murray said.
“The complex restrooms are ready to go. I’m sure we’ll get a lot of good feedback on those new restrooms,” Murray said.
“The high school front office project is taking shape with walls coming up and concrete work being done. Hopefully that will be enclosed by winter, so they can work indoors during the winter,” Murray said.
