Wildcat boys roll past HDC, 89-50, fall at Clear Lake

Humboldt’s varsity boys’ basketball team had six players score in double figures as the Wildcats rolled to an 89-50 victory over Hampton Dumont CAL Tuesday night, Dec. 17 in the Humboldt gym.
Jackson Flaherty scored 14 points and Chase Flaherty had 12 to lead Humboldt. Coen Matson and Elliot Carlson each had 11 and Mason Van Pelt and Valley Davis each had 10 for Humboldt.
The Wildcats visited Clear Lake on Friday, Dec. 20, and lost a 74-53 contest to the Lions in NCC action. Mason Van Pelt and Elliot Carlson each scored 11 points to lead Humboldt. Chase Flaherty tallied six. Valley Davis and Jackson Dodd each had four while Coen Matson made three. Carter Westre and Isaiah Busick both had two apiece.
Humboldt is now 1-2 overall, 1-1 in league play. Clear Lake is 4-0 overall, 2-0 in the NCC.
Humboldt will be off until Friday, Jan. 3, when they host Clarion-Goldfield-Dows. On Saturday, Jan. 4, they host Mason City at 3 p.m.
