RANDY C. GREENE SR.

Randy C. Greene Sr., 73 of Bode, passed away on Tuesday, at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital in Humboldt.
Randy was born Feb. 5, 1953 in Fort Dodge, the son of Richard and Colleen (Patton) Greene. He grew up in Humboldt and worked for the local telephone companies; Midwestern Bell, Northwestern Bell and Qwest Communications. He was united in marriage to Kalene Vorland in 1978. Together they had three children, later divorced, but remained close friends. Randy loved the outdoors and planted many trees. He was a huge fan of the New York Yankees, Corvettes and road trips. He loved teaching his grandchildren how to throw a knuckle-ball, shoot a basketball as well as the proper living room wrestling techniques, namely “the steamroller.” In retirement he worked for many different delivery services as well as rail crew transportation.
He is survived by his sons Randy (Kristen) Jr. of Gowrie and Corey (Angela) Greene of Brazil, IN, his brothers; Rick (Diane) Greene, Tim (Twink) Greene both of Humboldt and Mick (Sheila) Greene of Florida, seven grandchildren; Damien, Hayden, Dawson, Karley, Cainan, Brevan and Jace, two great-grandchildren Scarlett and Everett. Randy was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Stacy.
A private family celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements. www.masonlindhart.com
