Wildcat boys' soccer team ready for substate play

The Humboldt High boys' soccer team wrapped up their regular season at home on Thursday night in a 1-1 tie with Webster City. The game was called with 10 minutes to play due to a thunderstorm that moved through the area. Craig Fishel scored Humboldt's lone goal. The Wildcats finish the regular season with a 5-5-1 record. Humboldt begins substate tournament play at Waverly on Monday, May 20.SPENCER - Humboldt split two games in the Spencer tournament on May 4, winning 2-1 over Clear Lake before falling 6-0 to Spencer.See the Independent for complete story and photos.
