Humboldt boys host Bunn Relays, finish 3rd

Humboldt's varsity boys' track team placed third in the team scoring of their own Charlie Bunn Relays held Friday night (April 11) in Humboldt.The Wildcats finished with 76.5 points. Algona won the meet with 182 points while Webster City was runner-up at 87.5. Pocahontas Area took fourth with 71, followed by Eagle Grove at 65, Emmetsburg with 56 points and Carroll Kuemper Catholic with 19.Among Humboldt's top finishes on the night, Tony Nielsen was runner-up in the 100-meter dash in 11.46 seconds and Reed Burres was second in the 400-meter dash in 54 seconds. Brayden Collins took second in the 800-meter run in 2:09.49.Humboldt is slated to run in the Forest City Relays on Monday, April 14.See complete story and photos in the Humboldt Independent Newspaper.
