Swimmers beat Valley for 1st time

For the first time ever, the Fort Dodge Senior High School girls' swim team defeated West Des Moines. The Dodgers posted a 95-90 victory over the Tigers on Sept. 6 in Fort Dodge. Thanks for a first-place finish in the final event of the night, the 400 relay, the Dodgers tasted victory to avenge lopsided losses in recent years.
Humboldt's Holly Stockdale, Alexis Bugera-Brown, Emily Schaffer, Kosett Burmeister and Ana Munuz all competed in the meet. Veliea Munoz was unable to participate due to an injury.
